ROAMING (CUSTOMER SERVICE & AESTHETICS): Walking around the entire venue both inside and outside, keeping all areas free of clutter and garbage, helping with taking out trash bags when they get full, answering random questions from festival-goers, having a clear understanding of the event, keeping an eye out for things that are out of place, helping Sarah H. with anything she might need, helping set up or clean up lunches in the Volunteer Green Room, helping with different stations when they get busy. This is a good job for people who are: comfortable standing and walking around for long periods of time, friendly, outgoing, willing to do any job, good team players.
THEATER USHER: Standing at the entrance of a theater, helping people find their seats, keeping the theater tidy, cleaning the theater between screenings and at the end of your shift, helping out at other stations when you're not busy. This is a good job for people who are: friendly, outgoing, comfortable with repetition, comfortable standing for long periods of time, good team players.
HEADPHONES DISTRIBUTION & MANAGEMENT: This job is two-fold: (1) handing out headphones to people as they enter the theater and explaining how the headphones work, AND/OR (2) collecting headphones, wiping them off, and keeping them charged throughout the day. This is a good job for people who are: detail-oriented, organized, friendly, outgoing, comfortable teaching people how to do something, comfortable with repetition, responsible, comfortable with electronics.
MERCH ASSISTANT: Assisting with sales of merchandise, answering questions, talking to people, having a clear understanding of the event so you can answer questions. This is a good job for people who are: detail-oriented, organized, friendly, outgoing, willing to do any job, good team players, good with money, engaging.
PARTY ASSISTANT: Staying late after other volunteers get cut, helping run the party, cleaning up trash, taking out garbage bags when they get full, assisting the bartenders, assisting the DJ, mingling with people, answering questions, helping sell merchandise, keeping people out of the theaters, keeping an eye on valuables. This is a good job for people who are: not here to party, detail-oriented, organized, friendly, outgoing, comfortable talking to people, comfortable on your feet, willing to do anything, familiar with event management, interested in learning about event management. ***We need you to be awake and alert for this shift, so we ask that you do not drink during your shift.
